We are kicking off the winter season with a bang: a comprehensive product and website update is setting new standards for future-oriented learning. The new ANY collection makes learning possible anytime, anywhere, while the ACTIVE collection redefines open learning spaces as a creative all-rounder. New retreats, flexible upholstered elements and a multifunctional cabinet and learning wall for open all-day schooling and much more round off the new product package perfectly. Best of all, all the collection components fit together and complement each other intuitively.
Flötotto opens its own school – the Energiebündelschule.
Flötotto is the first German school furniture manufacturer to have its own school. With the Energiebündelschule, a single-form private alternative school, we are taking a logical step forward: not just designing schools, but truly understanding them.

Awards for good work and a good rating: In addition to DIN ISO 9001 and 14001, FLÖTOTTO has now also received the CrefoZert award for sustainable management and healthy growth. FLÖTOTTO has received the CrefoZert award from Creditreform Gütersloh for the first time. With the CrefoZert award, Flötotto is one of the two percent of German companies that meet Creditreform's strict criteria. As an independent institute, CrefoZert confirms Flötotto's impeccable business conduct as well as a very positive credit rating and future forecast.

We are the proud outfitter of the Dar Al Marefa Private School in Dubai. Our PRO chair collection was produced in combination with our FLEX tables in the special colour “sand” and fits perfectly into the modern architecture of the private school.
Heinrich Flötotto founds a cabinet maker’s shop in Gütersloh.
Flötotto patents the contoured seat. It is sold more than 21 million times.
In cooperation with pedagogues and architects, exemplary school facilities were created that correspond to modern school and educational concepts.

The modular profile system made of beechwood sets standards in German apartments.
Even back then, the functionality of the school furniture was the hook in advertising campaigns.
Flötotto honours its roots and develops the new PRO school chair in cooperation with Konstantin Grcic. The focus is on active, dynamic sitting.
The new PRO chair concept is presented at the Cologne furniture trade show and at Didakta. PRO wins several design prices right off the bat.
The flexible classroom is the focus of all further developments. In cooperation with architects and pedagogues, mobile furniture is created for the educational facilities of tomorrow.
Flötotto receives ISO certifications DIN EN 9001 and 14001 for integrated quality and environmental management. These awards confirm our commitment to the highest quality standards and sustainable practices in all areas of the company.
We are sending a clear signal with an increased focus on sustainability and are specifically expanding the use of recyclable materials. The company creates flexible learning and working environments through sustainable learning space concepts. In collaboration with architects, Flötotto implements projects worldwide that combine design, ergonomics and sustainability.
Internationalisation is progressing. Following the successful establishment of Flötotto Česká republika s.r.o. in Prague, Flötotto Asia Pacific
Ltd. in Hong Kong and Flötotto Australia Pty Ltd. in Sydney are further subsidiaries that will implement the high standards of planning and service and the innovative strength through their own teams in export.
Opening of the Energiebündelschule. Flötotto becomes the first German school furniture manufacturer to establish its own school. Since then, the single-form Energiebündelschule has served as a place of learning and development for new concepts and products.
Sustainability is when something lasts a long time.
We do not produce disposable furniture with a built-in expiry date; we make a daily companion that lasts for generations and is of use for a very long time. Because every single piece, every screw, every element can be repaired, replaced and reordered, even after decades. That also includes us continuously reducing the amount of energy and waste in our production by focusing on reuse and recycling.
We are convinced: Things that last a long time and make life better are valuable.
